Classic implantation

is the most popular method. First step is a surgery during which the doctor prepares special bone beds and places implants in them. Immediately after placing the implant, the gum is sewn in such a way that the implant is completely hidden in the gum. This is usually done with local anesthetic. After 7-10 days the stitches are removed. A few months later a healing screw in placed. Then after next few days a form for prosthetic work is taken. In that moment the surgical part of the therapy is finished.

Immediate implantation

is a technique allowing to place an implant directly after the tooth extraction. In such case the place left after removed tooth is filled with an implant, it is possible thanks to implants with especially modified surface, which makes it possible for them to adapt quickly in the jaw fresh after extraction.

This method has more advantages compared to classic method. Elimination of a few stages of the procedure saves time and limits inconveniences related to the number of treatment which would have to be informed, if classic implantation was chosen. Moreover the patient enters and leaves the clinic with the tooth.

The process of immediate implantation consists of the following stages: implant or implants are placed in the patient’s bone, and right after sewing the gum a temporary prosthetic (crown, bridge) is constructed. The temporary prosthetic is as close as possible imitation of the extracted tooth and is worn until the implant is fully inrooted. During such surgery, the lacks in the bone are filled with special biomaterial. All that is done during single visit. The patients can quickly return to their daily routines.
